One more racist murder downtown
One more man murdered for living while black

Four more racists in police uniform
Four more hearts filled with cold blooded hate
Four more carriers of society’s norms
Four more killers, paid by the state

Many more mournful words of regret
Many more words of hypocritical rage
Many more calls for harmony and peace
Many more acts on the political stage

No more patiently enduring the horror
No more lynchings with boots or with gun
No more tolerance for bigotry and terror
No more peace until justice’s been done
No more peace until the power has gone
No more peace until freedom has come
