They’ve got alligators soaking in a bathtub they can’t flee
And the elephants just standing there, they can’t roam free
Do you even wonder how it is supposed to be? So…

There can only be one reason to be going to the zoo
It’s to open up the fences and let all the animals through

So there’ll be lions in the street and a condor on your rooftop
Chimps in the trees and seals in the fish shop
And the people are just standing there, afraid to be
Somewhere down the food chain, for all to see!
